Meekie's Worries
WELCOME:
Meekies Worries is where you can learn about me. Not
that you want to, but maybe you are just that bored.
Bless your heart if you are! On my webpage I freely
share what little tidbits of knowledge i have learned
through my own stupidity. That, and links to Fat Girl
Friendly sites, hence the FGF, and to pictues of my
Daggit. Thank you, and enjoy!

Dont get into a Dogfight! for gods sake no i dont mean like the
godawful people who fight dogs on purpose, i mean when you
have your baby that gets in a fight with someone elses baby or
some random bitch or whatever, it was NOT easy for me to find
out information for this subject online. I "saved" a dog almost a
year ago now, and along the way i thought that if i saved one
then i could save two and brought home another dog. Not smart.
Number one, this is the first time i have EVER tried having more
than one dog. And the last time i had a dog at all was more than
half my life ago. So what am i trying to say, i am NOT captain
commander and am not exactly a pack leader. What happened?
the bigger dog attacked the smaller dog and hurt it more than
once. What do YOU need to know? IF you are not VERY VERY
Strict with discipline you are NOT pack leader and the dogs will
NOT obey you when it comes down to "the wire" like in a
stressful situation like a fight. From what i could find online, it
seems most prevalent that dogs of the same sex will fight over
"mamma" or "daddy" when they are jealous of each other. In
other words, most likely, the dogs dont fight when their owners
are not present, and most likely dogs of opposite sexes dont fight
at all. So please people just know the sad facts, its not always fun
to be a real pack leader, its easy to give in and spoil your dog,
but if you are going to have more than one, you may have fights
on your hands that are really hard to break up. My poor little baby
had gotten its head stuck in a plastic container and couldnt
breathe and the bigger dog attacked it. Ripped its chest wide
open. I was screaming and pulling the big dog with all my might
and it bit me too in the stomach and i had cuts up and down my
arms from claws. I had to run get an ice pick to punch holes in
the plastic container so the puppy could breathe, then got a damn
tree cutter to get the bottle cut off my puppy's head then rushed
it to the vet for surgery and stitches. It took all my strength to
pull a 60 pound dog off a 25 pound helpless puppy that had a
bottle over its head and was hyperventilating. You think aww i
can stop the fight, but its not that easy. Dogs are STRONG. I have
since picked up some tips, its important to practice making the
dogs obey commands EVERYDAY. Even if its just little stuff like sit
and stay, etc. But they have to be reminded OFTEN that YOU give
them commands that they MUST obey. I have tried using water
bottles with good effect also, spraying a dog that is growling at
another dog usually interrupts that line of thought and prevents a
fight. Just want to keep you from suffering the consequences
that i have in my silly misguided thoughts that if i spoil the dogs
they will be happy and love me and listen to me. It just doesnt
work that way, they then assume you are a dumbass who THEY
control and they completely ignore your commands. Be careful!
